Lunar shards are used as one of the main currencies on Luna. They can be used to purchase Luna items which are equipped in jewelry slots and give powerful bonuses such as attributes, castable active skills, or other passive abilities. Because of the power of these items, it is important to invest time to earn Lunar Shards in order to purchase them

Lunar shards can be obtained two ways:

• Bounty from mobs(Up to 800 Shards can be collected from mobs alone)
• Bounty from PvP or PK(Maximum number of Shards is unlimited)

When a mob is successfully killed one Shard will be added to your inventory.

When you successfully kill a player in a PvP you will gain significantly more Shards than from a mob. The amount of Shards varies depending on how many the target player has before he died

• Target has more than 200 shards: You gain 100 shards. Your victim will lose 140 shards
• Target has more than 60 shards but less than 200: You gain 28 shards. Your victim will lose 40 shards

Higher grade Shards can only be obtained from higher level mobs and players. The grade of the Shard awarded depends on the mob/player's level.

• Non-Grade: Level 1 - 4
• D-Grade: Level 5 - 9
• C-Grade: Level 10 - 14
• B-Grade: Level 15 - 19
• A-Grade: Level 20 - 24
• S-Grade: Level 25

If you are in a party when a mob is killed by you or one of your party members, the acquired Shard will be randomly distributed. Each party member has the same probability of acquiring the Shard. The grade of the Shard, however, will be determined by the party member who recieves it and not the person who kills the mob/player

If you are killing mobs that are higher level than the corresponding shard that you are looking for then you can use a Lunar Limiter item to convert all incoming shards to the lower grade of your choice. The Lunar Limiter can be purchased at Davion. You can set it to any grade from non-grade to S-grade. To cycle or change the grade of the limiter simply double click on the item and it will change form

Shards have a drop chance depending on the difference in levels between you and your target. If you are a higher level than your target then it will have a 100% chance to give you a shard but if it is higher level than you then the chance will be lower depending on the level difference:

• Up to 2 levels higher: 100%
• Up to 4 levels higher: 66%
• Up to 5 levels higher: 33%
• More than 5 levels higher: 0%
